Chuck Nuffer has 25 years experience in the field of Information Technology. He often leads strategic Information Technology planning, budgetary guidance and implementation projects for our clients. Chuck’s extensive background as Director of Computer Services at Western Auto/Parts America has earned him valuable experience in the area of corporate financial budgeting and strategic planning. Managerial areas of expertise include responsibilities for corporate systems change management, personnel management, organizational reviews and strategic planning. He has served as an interim CIO for several small businesses in the mid-west. After acquiring a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Kansas, he rapidly advanced through several positions at Western Auto / Parts America, managing data center operations, programming, and technical support. Under his direction, IS support was provided to such companies as Sears, NTB, Tire America, Parts America, and Western Auto. Mr. Nuffer also serves on the Blue Valley School District SBL Technology Advisory Committee.

Mr. Rick Mentel, Partner with Heartland Solutions Group, leads technology research and implementation of projects for the company and its clients. He has 29 years experience in the field of data communications and network management, as well as voice and PBX communications. Over the course of Rick’s professional career, he has held positions at Unisys as Senior Field Engineer where he worked major accounts including Edward D. Jones, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, as well as several federal government accounts including the FAA and FBI. Later, he managed the implementation of the network infrastructure at Wilcox Electric, manufacturer of avionics ground-based navigation equipment. Wilcox used the network to collaborate with its parent company in Paris, France, as well as other such entities as Hughes Aircraft and the FAA. During his tenure as Data Communications/Network manager at Western Auto, he led the implementation of the company’s private WAN with its 600+ Parts America retail stores. Most recently, he has project managed a multitude of infrastructure upgrades and data center relocations as well as consult clients on daily IT operations.
